Travis Pastrana duplicated three of Evel Knievel's famous jumps in Las Vegas. I thought it was going to have an element of risk but he made all three jumps with ease. He used a custom Indian motorcycle based on the one that Evel used in his jumps. That was the problem. The bike he used yesterday was created with technology and standards that didn't exist 50 years. If they took an original bike that was manufactured when Evel did those jumps and restored it then I would have been impressed. If Evel used the bike that Travis used he probably wouldn't have crashed in the attempts to jump over cars, buses and the Caesars Palace fountains. Not only did Travis use a state of the art bike he also had a training facility and access to computers to calculate angles, jump velocity, wind and temperature variations.
